Guy Glenn, Jr. Hired as General Manager
Ecological Land Services (ELS) is excited to announce that after an extensive 8-month search, we have hired former Port of Ilwaco Manager Guy Glenn, Jr. to fill our position of General Manager. His first day on the job was February 8, 2022.
Guy will be responsible for contributing financial and HR knowledge, research, and reporting to support team decisions and strategic plans. He will have fiduciary responsibility for the company and work closely with key executives. Guy will also be responsible for managing both scientific, and administrative staff at all four of our offices, and providing leadership mentoring that is hands-on and critical for our company’s success. The General Manager position is new at ELS and will be a key component to our growth.
Guy has 18 years of management and financial experience. He comes to ELS after spending 10 years at the Port of Ilwaco, initially serving as Finance Director followed by the last 8 ½ years as Port Manager. Through an interlocal agreement between the two ports, Guy also served as the Manager at the Port of Chinook for the last 6 years and was instrumental in that collaboration process.
“After a lengthy search for a new general manager to lead ELS to the next level we found the perfect match for such a task: Guy Glenn, Jr.” said Francis Naglich, founder, and President of ELS. “Guy comes to ELS with a unique blend of port management and financial experience. No one will be better at building relationships inside and outside our organization. He understands the environmental challenges and opportunities that our clients face and will inspire our ELS team with his humility, steadfast management, and good humor. Guy is now our guy, and we welcome him aboard!”
Guy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Sciences from Colorado State University. He has been actively involved in numerous industry and community related boards with an emphasis on economic development in the region.
