Coli has assisted on multiple wetland delineations and functionality ratings, has been involved in vegetation and wildlife identification, and has prepared many field and delineation reports for clients. She also has completed habitat assessments, and restoration and mitigation plans. Prior to joining ELS, Coli worked with the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association to help educate students about the benefits of salmon habitat restoration while aiding in native vegetation planting and restoration activities during community work parties. She worked for the Bureau of Land Management in Lander, Wyoming and gained experience gathering data for technical NEPA documentation as well as completing training modules on NEPA and the ESA. Coli also had the opportunity of a lifetime working as an intern with a conservation organization in Peru. While there she helped implement a wetland restoration project, oversaw avian field surveys, researched the impact of pollinators on the ecosystem, and coordinated with local communities on sustainable agricultural practices. Coli brings a wide variety of experience and has excellent communication skills.
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
I would want to be a zookeeper, and hope it wasn't on a poop shoveling day.
What is something about yourself that might surprise others?
I have won three elementary school spelling bees...no big deal.
What is the worst advice you have ever been given?
Keep backing up, you're fine.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
I would really like to be able to copy and paste other people's knowledge into my brain, I'm not sure if that's ingenious or just lazy.
