Emma earned her B.S. in Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism from Colorado State University with a minor in Business Administration. She is also certified as a wilderness first responder, in CPR and first aid, and has crisis intervention training. Some of the skills Emma came to ELS with include invasive species control, soil surveys, habitat restoration, and public engagement. Since coming to work at ELS in 2022, she has worked on many shoreline, stream, and wetland projects where she has performed delineations, critical areas assessments, and OHWM delineations. She has also prepared reports such as Non-Wetland Determinations and Critical Areas Reports and has gained experience working with new clients and developers. With her previous skill set, Emma was able to hit the ground running and has been a welcome addition to our team!

February 14, 2022. ELS was my valentine.
What do you like most about working at ELS?
Everyone is so supportive and always rooting for you! I love that I get to see and work in gorgeous terrain and that we can all have fun together while getting work done that makes an impact.

What’s a fear you are proud to have overcome?
I traveled solo across eastern Europe in college before starting a semester abroad in Greece. I was nervous but am SO glad I did it! Best experience ever.
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
Time to relax out in nature!
