Fish Removal

When streams provide habitat for listed fish species, permitting becomes challenging and will likely require a review at the federal level under the Endangered Species Act. Our staff has the expertise to guide clients through the complex regulations at all levels of review and permitting.

 

 

 

Wildlife & Habitat

ELS offers a full range of services addressing wildlife species and habitats at the local state and federal levels. Our staff consist of experiences wildlife biologists who are trained and knowledgeable on a wide variety of wildlife and habitats including bird, fish, amphibian, reptile, and small mammal species.

 

 

 

 

Wetlands & Streams

ELS has specialized in wetland biology and permitting since 1996. Our staff of biologists provide wetland services throughout Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. With decades of experience in the environmental consulting field, ELS specializes in a wide range of complex issues including wetland mitigation banking, advanced and programmatic wetland mitigation, and coastal wetland systems.

 

 

 

 

Mitigation Banking

ELS has been on the forefront of the mitigation banking process working on banks in Alaska and multiple mitigation banking sites in Washington since 2007. Mitigation banks establish “credits” where wetlands and other aquatic resources are restored, created, enhanced, or preserved. ELS has successfully led, or significantly contributed to, the certification of seven banks in Washington, one in Alaska, three single-user advance mitigation (banks) and one consolidated mitigation site.

 

 

 

 

Stormwater & Erosion Control

ELS has experienced Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Leads (CESCL) and staff experts in water quality monitoring to assist clients with industrial stormwater sampling  and monitoring of their construction sites. Our staff can acquire construction site stormwater permits and provide detailed, easy-to-understand stormwater pollution prevention plans.

 

 

 

 

Environmental Land Management

ELS staff works routinely with landowners to assist in maintaining their current facilities with methods that are regulatory compliant. We understand the critical importance of maintaining properties to avoid unforeseen environmental permitting consequences due to neglect or abandonment.

 

 

 

 

Graphics & Drone Services

ELS' experienced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) staff is well trained to provide a variety of project related products with the most advanced software and hardware resources. Our CAD department has a long standing reputation for clear, concise, and understandable drawings that reduce the need for agency requested modifications.
