Jess earned a B.S. from Evergreen State College with a focus in Ecology. Since coming to work for ELS in 2022, she has played a significant role in many wetland projects including delineations, critical areas reports, ordinary high water mark determinations, habitat assessments, field monitoring, and performing stream surveys. Jess works out of our Washougal office located at the Port of Camas/Washougal bringing calmness, kindness, and dedication to our ELS team.
If you woke up at midnight for a snack, what would you eat?
Oat-milk yogurt with homemade maple-pecan granola, strawberries, and some honey.
What do you like most about working at ELS?
The flexibility between office and field work. I love being out in the field, but I also enjoy not having to be in the field all the time.
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be?
My great-great Aunt Esperanza. She experienced a war and so much more, I’d love to learn all that family history.
What is the worst advice you have ever been given?
“You’ll never be ready for kids, just have them now!”
What is something about yourself that might surprise others?
I’ve never broken a bone or had a cavity before.
