Italian Creek Road Culvert

ELS is currently contracted by Cowlitz County Public Works under the existing on-call services contract for environmental permitting assistance for a culvert replacement project on Italian Creek Road near Kalama, Washington. To date, ELS has completed the field work including flagging the ordinary high water mark of the fish-bearing stream, collecting baseline data, and coordinating bank full width determination with WDFW. Current engineering design is being updated based on these determinations. At this point in the project, ELS is working on reports and other supporting documents to prepare for submittal when engineering is at 60 percent. Once these reports and applications are complete, ELS will negotiate with Public Works to determine if they would like ELS to submit applications or if they would like to save costs and submit the reports themselves. If they submit reports themselves, ELS will provide permitting support throughout the process until all environmental permits are received.
