Whitewater Takeouts

ELS was contracted by Gibbs & Olson (G&O) on behalf of Lewis County PUD for permitting services for improvements to three whitewater takeout locations for non-motorized vessels along Lake Scanewa, which is a reservoir on the Cispus River and Cowlitz River immediately above the Cowlitz Falls Hydroelectric Project. ELS completed field work to map critical areas and coordinated with the G&O survey crew. Reports completed were distributed to the District for permit applications. ELS work was initiated in May of 2021 and completed early 2022 after coordination with the District for actual permit submittals required.
