Little Kalama River Road Fish Removal

The culvert replacement along Little Kalama River Road required fish removal and exclusion from the work area prior to any construction work could be conducted below the ordinary high water mark. ELS was contracted by C&R Tractor and Landscaping, Inc. to complete a Stream Diversion Plan detailing how the stream would be diverted around the work area, as well as details on how fish will safely be removed from the stream diversion area. ELS biologists removed fish and other aquatic life from the stream and relocated them to flowing water outside the stream diversion area. After the culvert replacement was complete, ELS wrote a Post-Project report detailing fish and other aquatic life removal, which was submitted to the regulatory agencies.
