The Port of Bremerton hired ELS for general permit development for maintenance at Port facilities. This involves acquiring permits for a 10-year maintenance program for Port facilities including a Nationwide Permit, HPA, and local jurisdiction permits/shoreline exemptions. The facilities include two boat ramps, two marinas, and a pier that are located within the jurisdiction of the cities of Bremerton and Port Orchard and in the jurisdiction of Kitsap County. We are also involved with the plans for replacement of breakwater at the Port Orchard Marina.
ELS played a key role in determining presence of critical areas and wildlife habitat, completing permit applications, and attending meetings with the local, state, and federal permitting jurisdictions. She also works with the Port of Bremerton and other consultants to assess needs at each of the facilities to ensure the maintenance permit is sound and easily approved.
